Amex Reinvests $719 Million Gain From Concur Sale

American Express reinvested portions of its $719 million pretax gain from selling its 13 percent stake in Concur into a restructuring that involves some headcount reductions, a renewed Delta Air Lines agreement, and marketing and promotional initiatives, Amex executive vice president and chief financial officer Jeffrey Campbell said Wednesday during an earnings conference call with analysts. Concur Plans Shareholder Vote Next Month On SAP Deal, Faces Investor Suits

Concur this week notified investors that it will hold a Nov. 19 meeting in Seattle "to consider and vote upon a proposal to adopt a merger agreement" it entered last month with SAP, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
