Re:
Airport Laptop Seizures Debated in Washington
I am very very concerned about this severe new invasion of privacy.
The U.S. Government has no business [with] personal property, unless they have a warrant that says specifically what is needed for an investigation that has probable cause. The warrant must be issued by a judge
with probable cause demonstrated.
I have been a longtime Republican, but with this severe level of invasion of privacy
at a whim and
without cause, I will be voting for the President, Senators and Congressman who believe in the citizens' rights and want government to serve the people. Seems like [during] the last five years, it [has been about] how the federal government can spy on its own people more and more and more, all in the name of whatever excuse.
This is very serious and very intrusive! Big Brother has fully arrived and shown himself.
