Live conference recently, one of my objectives was to get our industry to start challenging the status quo. I'm glad to see a debate emerge around the evolving role of the travel manager. But if we're going to have a healthy debate, it's important to define the terms--so I'd like to set the record straight about my position on the topic of travel management outsourcing.

The Millennium Foundation officially launched its
global initiative to finance healthcare for the world’s poor by presenting their initiative to the United Nations on Sept. 23.
American Express Business Travel this week said that tomorrow it would launch its BusinessTravelConneXion.com online community for the corporate travel industry, which it is calling BTX for short. "To date, over 950 industry members have pre-registered to the community," Amex said. American Express global travel services president Charles Petruccelli on Nov. 20 will host on the site a "Live Chat Event from the PhoCusWright Conference in Los Angeles."
