[UPDATE:
Glassdoor.com is about salaries and bottom-up reviews of employers. Pretty cool, but not travel.]
There is a lot of speculation in technology circles about what Glassdoor.com is up to, but little concrete information.
Given its board-level roster including ex-Expedians Rich Barton and Erik Blachford, the stealth company seems like one to watch for travel technology folks--even if it amounts to something in real estate or career management, which is where most of the blog speculation is heading.
Expedia's Microsoft heritage prompted me to check on was whether Glassdoor could be part of the recent overtures to the travel industry by Microsoft Hospitality, which said new partners (in addition to EDS) for a not-yet-fully described industry initiative would soon be announced. According to Microsoft Hospitality managing director Geoff Cairns, "I am not aware of any plans at this time" related to Glassdoor.
