Fares Up, But Not A Mile High

Now for some good news that we did not have to make up. Every travel article in print today talks about how much ticket prices are rising with estimates of 15 percent or more. That may be the case around the country, but not for our customers. The [data] below shows the good news we have for our customers:

2007: $465.99

2008: $508.27

Increase: 9.07%

This is the average price of a ticket purchased from our agency in the first eight months of this year, including both domestic and international tickets. While rising fares don't put a smile on my face, I am happy to report our increases are less than expected, and lower than other folks in the industry.
