INTERVIEW: Southwest VP Kevin Krone

Less than five years after launching its Web site a decade ago, Southwest Airlines wowed the business world by announcing it had surpassed $1 billion in online revenue. The airline later added the Swabiz corporate portal, and all the while utilized limited global distribution system participation. Kevin Krone, now vice president of marketing, sales and distribution, has been involved in Southwest's online initiatives from the beginning. He spoke this week with The Beat's David Jonas.
