AA: NDC Content Will Be Visible, Not Bookable, In Legacy Channels In April

You can look, but you can't book. That's the message American Airlines relayed to agencies this week as it disclosed new details on its plans, effective in April, to revoke "legacy" channel access to a sizable chunk of fares traditionally sold through EDIFACT-based connections. Fares unavailable through such channels still will be filed in ATPCO and visible in booking systems, but new fare rules will prevent ticketing of them, the carrier disclosed.
