AA-Sabre Trial To Proceed As Scheduled Despite Judge's Recusal

A Texas state court on Monday approved a request by Sabre to recuse the judge overseeing the antitrust suit that American Airlines brought against the GDS company, two days before opening statements are scheduled to begin. The court based its decision on new disclosures that American had made contributions to a charity in which Judge Don Cosby is involved. The donation kerfuffle is not expected to delay the proceedings; opening statements still are slated to kick off here Wednesday morning before newly appointed Judge David Cleveland.
