ASTA: New Bag Disclosure Rule 'Dangerous'

Set to go into effect next month, Department of Transportation baggage fee disclosure rules would require travel agencies to directly link to airline websites or compile and disclose myriad fee data, according to an extension request filed with DOT Tuesday by the American Society of Travel Agents. The first option is "commercial suicide" and the second is "legally and commercially dangerous," ASTA argued.
