After Clients Cite Performance Problems, Concur Claims Technical 'Issues' Addressed

Concur in an emailed response Wednesday to questions from The Beat acknowledged experiencing technical "issues" last week but claimed they since have been "identified and addressed." Multiple travel management sources this week told The Beat of difficulties using some Concur systems, including the expense management tool and mobile applications.

"This week, we are seeing a smaller percentage of affected clients," according to Concur's email. "We've implemented changes that we are monitoring closely and seeing positive results."

Concur in the email claimed to have worked "around the clock" to find a resolution. Concur declined to detail the specific systems affected, the cause of the disruptions, the number of customers affected and the methods used to resolve the issues.

Concur users as early as July 21 reported complications via Twitter and on Concur's Facebook page. Those reports cited slow performance and crashes in Concur's expense reporting platform and mobile tools, among others.

The University of Michigan, for example, in a July 28 public service report noted it had contacted Concur to report "extreme slowness in Concur as well as difficulty connecting to Concur and attaching receipts," adding that other customers and institutions had reported similar issues. In an Aug. 4 update, the university cited further "performance issues."
