AirTran Details Distribution Savings

AirTran Airways in the first quarter achieved a nearly 14 percent year-over-year decline in distribution unit costs due primarily to renewed deals with global distribution system operators, according to CFO Stan Gadek. AirTran in October announced multi-year agreements with Sabre Travel Network and Cendant Travel Distribution Services. A new Worldspan deal kicked in during January.
