Amex CFO: Q4 Corp. Card Spending Signals Sharp Recovery

American Express on Thursday said corporate card spending in the month of December rose 13 percent, adjusted for currency fluctuations, and illustrated what CFO Dan Henry described as a typical V-shaped cycle for commercial services. For the full quarter, the decline in global corporate travel sales eased significantly--at 5 percent lower year-over-year compared with reductions exceeding 40 percent earlier in the year.
