Amex Reports Lower Corporate Travel Sales, Slower Growth In Card Billings

American Express said cardmembers continued to spend during the June quarter, but overall growth was slower than in previous quarters. At the same time, global corporate travel sales dropped 4 percent from a year earlier to $5.1 billion, following a 2 percent decline in the March 2012 quarter, which had been the first such quarterly reduction since late 2009.
