Amex Nets A Billion

American Express today reported record second-quarter net income of more than $1 billion, including a record $802 million earned by the Travel Related Services division. Net income at TRS rose 10 percent on 11 percent year-over-year growth in revenues and 12 percent higher expenses. Overall revenues for American Express grew 11 percent to $8 billion.
