Amex Reinvests $719 Million Gain From Concur Sale

American Express reinvested portions of its $719 million pretax gain from selling its 13 percent stake in Concur into a restructuring that involves some headcount reductions, a renewed Delta Air Lines agreement, and marketing and promotional initiatives, Amex executive vice president and chief financial officer Jeffrey Campbell said Wednesday during an earnings conference call with analysts.
