Amex Reports Record Cardmember Spending

Driven by $207 billion in cardmember spending, the highest ever for a single quarter, American Express reported 27 percent higher year-over-year net income of $1.3 billion during the three months ending in June, on 12 percent higher revenues of $7.6 billion.
