Amex Sells Brazilian Card, Business Travel Ops

American Express Global Travel Services president Charles Petruccelli today claimed the company's plan to sell its Brazilian operations to a leading local bank would neither impact corporate travel clients nor materially alter Amex's global ownership strategy. Banco Bradesco S.A., based in Osasco, this week said it signed an agreement to assume the American Express "card and related operations in Brazil," including business travel.
