As Renewal Rates Underscore, Airlines Just Can't Quit GDS Deals

Every once in a while it seems possible that a major airline could delist from a global distribution system, like when British Airways in late 2013 threatened to withdraw from Travelport. Yet, judging from full-year financial filings released in the past month by GDS operators, airlines tend not to walk away—like when British Airways and Travelport last year ultimately came to terms.
