BA Winds Down Private-Channel Deals, Launches NDC Disruption Management

British Airways bookings made by agents through New Distribution Capability connections have reached "thousands and thousands and thousands" daily, claimed head of distribution Ian Luck. In an interview this week, he defended BA's withdrawal of its lowest fares from global distribution systems and confirmed it is winding down private-channel arrangements as it aims to shift all agency bookings to NDC-compatible connections by the end of 2020.
