ASTA, GBTA, TMCs, Travel Tech Urge Corporate Exemptions In DOT Fee Rule

The U.S. Department of Transportation on Monday closed the comment period on its proposed airline fee disclosure regulation. Areas for which DOT sought input included whether corporate travel agencies should be covered in the sweep of airline fee disclosure and display requirements. Trade groups representing travel buyers, travel management companies, travel agencies and distributors this week urged corporate exemptions.
