DOD Eyes Next-Gen Defense Travel System Contract With Concur, Advancing Years Of Development

The U.S. Department of Defense signaled its intent to award SAP Concur the contract for its next-generation travel authorization, booking and expense management system, which would replace the aging Defense Travel System. This comes nearly three years after DOD commissioned SAP Concur to build a prototype for the Defense Travel Modernization system, in which the government since has invested $15 million and which already has been deployed among groups of DOD travelers.
