DOT's Draft Ancillary Fee Rules Open Questions On TMC, GDS Applicability

The U.S. Department of Transportation on Monday issued long-in-the-works proposed rules on ancillary fee disclosures. The rulemaking, if finalized, would require airlines and travel agencies to disclose during the booking process passenger-specific fees for first-checked, second-checked and carry-on bags, as well as ticket change and cancellation fees.
