Delta: Economy Comfort In Travelport Not A Philosophical Change

When Delta Air Lines this week announced plans to bring its Economy Comfort product to Travelport-connected agencies, it appeared to be a reversal in the carrier's thinking. But according to Delta sales executives, the carrier introduced the premium economy option without providing any ability to purchase it via global distribution systems because it first needed to work with distributors on technical requirements and costs involved.
