EC Moves Draft Proposal Forward; Amadeus Rivals Worry

Some observers of the European Commission's ongoing regulatory review of computer reservations systems are growing increasingly concerned that Amadeus and its airline shareholders would be exempted from traditional safeguards against certain market behavior. Those concerns stem from a review of EC's latest draft proposal to reform the code of conduct that governs CRSs in Europe. A final proposal is expected by mid-November.
