While larger corporations still are negotiating worthwhile discounts with air carriers, some smaller firms and those with very high levels of domestic travel are exploring more of a spot market approach, according to analysts. In general, the industry is still sorting out the impact of fare simplification initiated in January by Delta Air Lines, which last week cited high fuel costs in raising its airfare caps by $100 to $599 in coach and $699 in first class, with some exceptions.
