President Fragale Departs As Directravel Is Said To Acquire Again

Directravel president and COO Pat Fragale this month resigned from the company for personal reasons. Fragale joined Directravel, then VTS Travel Direct, in 1998 as executive vice president and was named president in 2000.

Fragale stayed on in 2011 when private equity investment firm Silver Oak Services Partners bought Directravel and named former Navigant International head Ed Adams as CEO.

Directravel subsequently acquired Corporate Travel Services in Minneapolis. Two sources with knowledge of the situation said the company has acquired again__this time going west with Travel Management Corp. (formerly GlobalStar Travel Management Corp.) of San Jose.

Directravel did not respond to requests for comment on Fragale or Travel Management Corp. An official with Travel Management Corp. declined comment.

Fragale worked in the hospitality business before joining VTS. There is no indication that his departure is related to the new acquisition.
