GDS Alternative Unveiled Amid Northwest-Sabre Battle

Northwest Airlines at around 9 pm EDT last night issued a statement disagreeing with Sabre Travel Network's comment yesterday afternoon that with its new ticketing fees, Northwest violated 'the letter and the spirit' of its agreement with Sabre. But it was a couple hours later that a separate press release answered much of the reason Northwest was emboldened to create new fees for bookings made in global distribution systems, to take effect in a week.
