'Gordo' Joins Cendant

Cendant Corp. today announced the appointment of former Continental Airlines CEO Gordon Bethune as chairman of the company's Travel Distribution Services division, effective immediately. An outspoken industry icon credited with reviving Continental during the 1990s, Bethune will stay on as non-executive chairman following the TDS spin-off, currently slated for early fourth quarter.
