Industry Crunches Numbers; NBTA Calls For Open Books

Travel management companies and their corporate clients are feverishly negotiating this week with each other and with legacy carriers and global distribution system firms to avoid the highest possible costs of GDS access. The National Business Travel Association yesterday called on TMCs to openly discuss GDS revenues with clients, but some developments are happening so quickly--up against a Friday deadline--that it has been difficult for negotiations to catch up.
