Mixed Verdict In US Airways-Sabre Case, Jury Awards Airline $1

The jury seated before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York sided with Sabre on US Airways' claim that the global distribution system operator's contract with the now-defunct carrier was anticompetitive. Yet, the jury sided with the airline plaintiff on a second claim that Sabre operated an unlawful monopoly in a Sabre-only market. The jury awarded damages of a single U.S. dollar.
