Sources: No Content Disruption Or Fees For Agents As Amadeus, Delta Near Deal

The deadline for Amadeus and Delta to reach a new global distribution deal passed this weekend without the announcement of a successor, but sources close to the talks said the framework for a deal is in place.

With the base terms negotiated, sources said Amadeus subscribers would neither face any disruption in accessing Delta content nor the carrier's $3.50 per-segment "cost recovery fee."

Delta and Amadeus continue to discuss the potential sale of ancillary services in Amadeus channels, sources said. Most notably, the airline and GDS firm have explored ways to sell Delta's Economy Plus premium-economy seating option, which Delta last month agreed to sell through Travelport.
