Sabre JV Vistrio Disappoints

Data mining and aggregation firm Vistrio experienced slower than expected growth since its formation in early 2005 as a joint venture of Sabre Holdings and Equitec, and Sabre in the December quarter took a $3.9 million impairment charge on its 50.9 percent ownership in the company. Meanwhile, data-mining firm Acxiom Corp. last month bought Cleveland-based Equitec from owner Henry Group Ltd., which retained its co-ownership of Vistrio.
