Seldom Used Arbitration Panel May Hear ARC Fee Dispute

For only the third time in its nearly 20-year history, the Airlines Reporting Corporation's three-person Independent Arbitration Panel may be called upon to review a dispute between airline-owned ARC and travel agency representatives. That's assuming ARC's board of directors on Dec. 6 approves ARC's proposed 2008 fee hike for agencies and that, within 15 days later, at least two members of ARC's Joint Advisory Board-Agent Reporting Agreement appeal the board decision to the IAP.
