Southwest: AA Using Subpoenas To Pilfer Distribution Trade Secrets

Southwest Airlines this week pushed back against the subpoenas American Airlines served to support federal antitrust claims against Travelport. While AA claimed before the court that documents and deposition requests are necessary to pursue the suit, Southwest alleged that AA is seeking to uncover trade secrets on Southwest's distribution strategy and replicate its success in driving bookings direct.
