Southwest Closes Door On Sabre Talks: 'They're Challenging To Work With'

Southwest Airlines at year-end will stop participating in the feature-light basic booking request distribution model it has deployed with Sabre, the carrier said this week. During an earnings call Thursday, Southwest president Tom Nealon said the airline no longer is engaged in talks with Sabre after two years of fruitless attempts to reach a new distribution pact.
