Travelport: Plunge in Expedia's Use Dents Worldspan

Worldspan's global distribution system (non-IT) revenues fell 27 percent to $349 million during the first half of 2007, thanks mostly to a huge drop in fees generated from Expedia (to $64 million from $142 million), according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing by Worldspan parent Travelport. Expedia as of June was delivering 16 percent of Worldspan's total company revenues, down from 28 percent in the year-earlier period.
