The responsiveness of Sabre's TripCase itinerary consolidation app has returned to normal after users last week experienced delays due to an unexpected spike in demand, according to a spokesperson.
The company on March 8 posted an apology on the TripCase blog, referencing "unusually high volumes which may affect our timely import of your trip information." Similar to other itinerary aggregation tools, TripCase allows users to build itineraries by forwarding email confirmations for bookings regardless of channel. The information typically is imported in a matter of minutes.
"Since January, the traffic through TripCase has grown by more than 60 percent," according to the press official. "We recently did some marketing and promotion of TripCase, and the response far exceeded our expectations. This came at a time when we were making some system changes. This perfect storm has caused the delay."
