US Air Matches Fee, Notes ITA Software Plans

US Airways on Friday joined its competitors' global distribution system pricing party, notifying travel agencies that, as of Sept. 1, it would charge them $3.50 per net segment booked in non-preferred distribution channels at points of sale including the United States and the Caribbean. Such channels include those Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan programs that are not characterized as "opt-in" and do not require users to shoulder a typically 80-cents per segment cost.
