US Airways Overhauling Agency Compensation

Showing its penchant for the America West low-cost philosophy, US Airways last week confirmed it discontinued all domestic time-of-ticketing travel agency commissions, effective December 31, 2005. The carrier also plans to cut such other agency deals as domestic flat fares and a transatlantic bonus program, and now is crafting new, customized back-end incentive offers.
