United Hosting Alt-GDS Meeting, Names Sales Exec

United Airlines yesterday named consultant Jeff Foland its new vice president of North America sales, effective February 1. Foland will report to senior vice president of worldwide sales Graham Atkinson, who tomorrow will host a seven-hour meeting with travel management companies to discuss changes in airline distribution and offer a closer look at G2 Switchworks and ITA Software.
