United Loses 'GNE' Guy To ITA Amid Distribution Slashing

United Airlines this week stated that it intends by 2007 to shave $100 million from its budget for 'global distribution system, GDS-like and similar transaction fees, commissions and incentives,' according to a spokesperson. But the carrier will continue that program without the services of distribution strategy director Derek Lewitton, whose last day at the airline is April 15.
