United Ups Agency Revenue Share While Cutting 'Incentive' Costs

United Airlines since the beginning of 2006 increased its revenue "share premium" from large travel agencies while reducing by 14 percent the cost of obtaining agency business, officials said last week during presentations to the investment community. The results reflect United's efforts to drive higher-yielding passenger traffic, which includes a continuation of its "process-oriented" approach to business-to-business sales and corporate contracting.
