CheckMate, which enables mobile hotel check-in and other interactions between hotels and travelers, is leveraging its relationship with investor and partner Concur to break into the corporate travel market. On Wednesday, CheckMate plans to announce relationships with several travel management companies, including Altour, Balboa Travel Management, BCD Travel, Corporate Travel Management and Gant Travel.

A U.S. district court judge this week dismissed six of the eight claims eCommission Solutions pursued in a lawsuit against estranged hotel commission recovery partner CTS Systems. The judge also upheld a prior ruling denying CTS's request to bring in Dell Marketing as a defendant. CTS operated as a subcontractor for Dell and had tried to shift blame in court.
Sabre has Concur in its sights as it pulls together a mobile-focused corporate offering that brings GetThere's booking capabilities into TripCase, folds in virtual payment capabilities, widens the door to third-party developers, provides deeper ties to expense partners and puts it all in what the company calls a "consumer-grade" wrapper.
Amadeus has added Balboa Travel as a second development partner for the Amadeus One agent desktop. Balboa in the fourth quarter of this year will join a launch group that includes Travel Leaders Corporate. Balboa is an Amadeus global distribution system user, unlike Travel Leaders which uses Sabre and Worldspan.
