This post is part of the 2014 Keynote Vote for The Beat Live 2014, in New Orleans Oct. 6-Oct. 8.
What will you speak about?
The TMC of the Future. It's no secret the rise of consumer tools and increased traveler data has created challenges for TMCs and corporate travel managers: fragmented data, lack of visibility, compliance control and so on, but they have provided so much opportunity too. The next big thing is always near and will undoubtedly affect our industry the way open booking, supplier direct booking, mobile and social have ... so how do TMCs take advantage of these great innovations and be prepared for any future changes? And, even more importantly, what does the future look like for TMCs and travel managers? We will discuss our vision about how TMCs and travel managers will evolve in the future and will incorporate thoughts from The Beat readers.
Why should the audience listen?
Concur is deeply entrenched in the travel ecosystem and works closely with TMCs, travel managers, suppliers and partners to deliver innovative technology to the travel industry. We engage all of these parties in discussions about the future and would like to share our vision.
How will you avoid a sales pitch?
This is a thought leadership session, where we will discuss how we envision TMCs evolving and we will cover questions and thoughts shared through our partnerships and clients.
What insight do you want The Beat readers to share in advance to help you prepare for your presentation?
It would be interesting to find out what The Beat readers think the future of TMCs looks like and we can incorporate those thoughts into the presentation.
Mike Koetting is Concur's executive vice president of supplier and TMC services.
