Well-known industry veteran and The Beat Live's long-serving master of ceremonies Dave Hilfman is bound to retire at the end of the year from his post as United Airlines SVP of worldwide sales.
To send him off, The Beat Live in Atlanta will feature The Roast Of Dave Hilfman.
Modeled on classic Friars Club roasts, this special presentation will gather friends, colleagues, clients and competitors from Hilfman's past and present to deliver a few jokes, throw some jestful jabs and celebrate an exceptional career.
Confirmed roasters include Orbitz Worldwide founding CEO and current Journera CEO Jeff Katz, former Cisco travel buyer Susan Lichtenstein, former American Airlines sales exec Frank Morogiello, ARC chair Bonnie Reitz and Delta Air Lines SVP of global sales Bob Somers.
The 11th annual The Beat Live conference, taking place Oct. 3-5 in Atlanta, also will feature an onstage interview with Delta CEO Ed Bastian, a keynote address from Travelport CEO Gordon Wilson and a one-on-one conversation with Greg O'Hara, founder and managing partner of investment firm Certaresandchairman of American Express Global Business Travel. Also, BCD Travel CEO John Snyder will field questions during The Hot Seat session.
