Concur's Koetting Wins The Beat Live Keynote Vote

You, The Beat's readers, have spoken. After another very tight race, Concur's Mike Koetting will deliver the closing keynote presentation at The Beat Live on Oct. 8 in New Orleans.

Mike, who serves as Concur's executive vice president of supplier and TMC services, won over voters with his promise to examine "the TMC of the future." His full pitch is posted here. Congratulations, Mike.

The other six candidates are invited to discuss their topics during a panel discussion at The Beat Live moderated by PhoCusWright's Tony D'Astolfo. They proposed a nice mix of subjects: Rocketrip CEO Dan Ruch on driving compliant traveler behavior with appropriate forms of motivation; Cvent co-founder and CEO Reggie Aggarwal on meetings technology and successful entrepreneurism; from SabreSonic CSS/Sabre Airline Solutions, Angelo Contreras on the evolution of the airline customer experience; Databasics director of business development and partnerships Michael Jacques on the pitfalls of consolidation in the business travel technology sector; ZS Associates principal and practice leader for travel and transportation Glenn Hollister on whether Managed Travel 2.0 is necessary; and Denihan executive vice president and chief customer officer Tom Botts on the increasing sophistication of hotel revenue management.

Thanks to all seven of our participants, and thanks to all those who submitted legitimate votes.

Registration for The Beat Live continues here. We'll see you in New Orleans.
