This Friday, Nov. 6, is the last chance to submit your pitch for the keynote address you would deliver at The Beat Live.
An annual tradition at The Beat Live, now in its 13th year and airing in a virtual format on Dec. 10, is our call for speaker submissions, open to anyone who wishes to deliver a keynote address on any topic. Readers will vote on their favorite pitches to choose who speaks at The Beat Live.
If ever there was a year to vent frustrations, call for change, challenge norms, raise important issues or rethink facets of the industry, this is the one.
As The Beat Live goes virtual this year, we are adjusting our presentation format. The top vote-getter will land a 10-minute solo keynote slot, while a few runners-up will deliver brief five-minute addresses on their chosen topics. All presenters then will participate in our always lively The Views panel discussion.
Please outline what you would discuss in your keynote address by answering a few questions in an email to The Beat editor-in-chief Jay Boehmer ([email protected]).
In 250 words or less:
- What would you talk about in a keynote address?
- Why should the audience listen?
- How will you avoid delivering a sales pitch?
Shortly after our Nov. 6 deadline to submit your address, The Beat will publish pitches and let subscribers vote on their favorite.
In the run-up to our Dec. 10 event, The Beat Live is hosting a webinar series, which kicked off with an interview with Travelport CEO Greg Webb (replay on demand). Last week, we hosted CTM North America CEO Maureen Brady and Travel and Transport CEO Kevin O'Malley to discuss their recently announced merger plans (replay on demand).
You can submit a single registration for our webinar series and access replays here.
Next in the queue is an interview on Monday, Nov. 9 at 1 pm Eastern, with American Express Global Business Travel CEO Paul Abbott, followed by The Post-Election Policy Landscape, a panel discussion with travel industry trade bodies on Nov. 16 at 12 pm Eastern, to discuss the legislative and advocacy landscape in the wake of the U.S. elections.
Register for our webinar series here. Meanwhile, save the date for our virtual event on Dec. 10, and stay tuned on further agenda and registration details.
