This post is part of the 2012 Keynote Vote for The Beat Live 2012, in Nashville Sept. 10-12.

What will you speak about?

The wonderfully eternally dysfunctional airline industry. Merger Madness and Bankruptcy Bingo: Where is the bankruptcy process At AMR now? Is there going to be a merger with US Airways? If US Airways does a merger, what will the new airline look like? What happens if there is no merger? United -- Are things improving? If not, why not? How long is this merger mess going to continue? Why can't the airline get its act together? Delta Air Lines -- Clearly the leader of the pack. What the airline is doing right. The Move Towards Premium Economy -JetBlue, American, United, Delta and now WestJet. How long can Southwest continue NOT to offer an upsell product? Alliances - What is working and what isn't. And why. International -- it's a mess. Earnings are down, load factors are down, and the Middle Eastern carriers continue to expand. What's next?

Why should the audience listen?

No matter which part of the corporate travel industry you are in -- the airline industry drives your business. The latest airline info could also be helpful in terms of contract negotiations.

How will you avoid a sales pitch?

Simple. There won't be any.

What insight do you want The Beat readers to share in advance, to help you prepare for your presentation?

I would actively solicit questions from readers about what questions and what airlines in particular they would like me to highlight and discuss.
