Continental to Use GDS Audit Tool

Tech provider Airlogica said it would "process and audit Continental's billing information data tapes from the GDSs." In particular, the auditing would "assure that the new full-content agreements are being applied completely and properly," and also document "discrepancies" and "unproductive behaviors."

Continental Airlines last year said it would begin charging travel agencies that fail to cancel unused segments, a strategy employed by several other carriers. Among the latest to join the trend, American Airlines' new "unproductive bookings" policies take effect this weekend.
