The focus on avian flu has raised awareness among business leaders of the need to prepare for health threats just as we plan for other contingencies. This greater awareness is positive, as long as it is channeled productively. It may sound cliché, but NBTA believes "preparation, not panic" is the approach travel managers should take to managing health risks.
